| En el contexto de un proceso de concesiones portuarias paralizado y de un debate acerca de la conveniencia de retomarlo, este estudio evalúa el desempeño del terminal de Matarani, administrado desde 1999 por la empresa Terminal Internacional del Sur S.A. (TISUR), y único puerto peruano entregado en concesión hasta el momento. El objetivo es evaluar las características del proceso de concesión, estimar su impacto en la economía e identificar las implicancias de entregar en concesión otros puertos del país. Con este fin, se analizó el modelo utilizado para introducir la participación privada, se examinó si existe evidencia de una mejor operación del puerto con la concesión y se estimó el impacto sobre el bienestar de cada grupo involucrado. | L’objectif de ce guide technique est de répertorier les principaux points de débarquement utilisés par les professionnels de la pêche martiniquais. Ces lieux sont fréquentés régulièrement par les observateurs du SIH (Système d'Informations Halieutiques), leur description constituera une aide importante pour les nouveaux arrivants au sein de l’équipe. Outre le référencement des différents sites, le document présente leurs principales caractéristiques (équipements disponibles, principaux métiers de pêche, composition de la flottille…), ainsi que les horaires à privilégier pour les rencontres sur le terrain. | El proyecto está enfocado a mejorar la productividad y mejorar el nivel de pesca artesanal dentro del Ecuador mediante una infraestructura adecuada que esté a nivel de la población, brindando todos los servicios necesarios que el pescador artesanal requiere, tanto para su embarcación, como para su carga en el desembarco y almacenamiento. | Certain port services, called Essential Maritime Services, are subject to price regulation in South Australia. The need for this regulation is now under review, involving a series of assessments of market structures and market power in port services. This paper proposes a framework for assessing market power in port services, to determine whether there is a prima facie case for regulation. Elements of the framework are applied to the grain industry, which is one of the major users of port services in South Australia. |

| Human‐mediated transport creates secondary contacts between genetically differentiated lineages, bringing new opportunities for gene exchange. When similar introductions occur in different places, they provide informally replicated experiments for studying hybridisation. We here examined 4,279 Mytilus mussels, sampled in Europe and genotyped with 77 ancestry‐informative markers. We identified a type of introduced mussels, called “dock mussels,” associated with port habitats and displaying a particular genetic signal of admixture between M. edulis and the Mediterranean lineage of M. galloprovincialis. | The proposed Coega Port will be situated near the southern extreme of the Industrial Development Zone (IDZ) at the mouth of the Coega River to the east of Port Elizabeth. This specialist report deals with the issues and impacts associated with land disposal of excavated material, marine dredging and disposal, and outlines the monitoring guidelines for the dredging and disposal operation.
